The Seattle Seahawks can keep their Super Bowl window open if they sign any of these studs in free agency.

The Seattle Seahawks might be the one team that few fans truly know what they are. On one side, they look to have an MVP quarterback in Russell Wilson and amazing receivers. The next day, he struggles late, nearly costing the team a playoff spot while running for his life.

That was the case on Saturday afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams. For as good as Wilson can be, his struggles ultimately cost the team a chance at the NFL Divisional Round. And this was against Jared Goff and a busted thumb.

The Seahawks defense has become a standout unit with Jamal Adams. The All-Pro safety paired with trade acquisition Carlos Dunlap to help Seattle rebound defensively and produce one of the league’s top units in the second half.
It still wasn’t enough at home against the Rams’ somewhat sluggish offense.

John Schneider and Pete Carroll will need to have a strong offseason. Adding names for the right price could be the difference between being good or mediocre in a competitive NFC West.

These moves could help Seattle remain in contention for the foreseeable future.

Pick Analysis. Cincinnati Bengals. Carl Lawson. 56. Scouting Report. DE. 3. player

Since the arrival with the 12th Man, Dunlap has been a massive success for the Seahawks front seven. In eight games with the team, he’s tallied 14 total tackles, 13 quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks and two pass deflections.

Dunlap will remain under contract through the 2021 season. With his presence, Seattle had one of the best pass rushes in the second half. In today’s league, that’s sometimes the difference between teams making the postseason and sitting at home in January.

Carl Lawson has severely been underappreciated as a pass rusher for Cincinnati Bengals. His rookie season made him look like a future star with 59 pressures on just 389 snaps. Since then, he’s tallied 20 career sacks as a situational pass-rusher in four years.

No one knows the potential Lawson can have. as a full-time starter. That might make him a cheaper option on the open market than say, Shaquil Barrett or Leonard Williams. Seattle’s pass rush could make or break them for the future, so adding a name like Lawson makes plenty of sense.
