Steelers: Vance McDonald has awesome answer on what he’ll miss most about football

Pittsburgh Steelers long-time tight-end Vance McDonald has an awesome answer on what he’ll miss most about football after retirement.

After an eight-year career, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Vance McDonald is walking away from the game of football. On his way out, McDonald was asked about what he’ll miss most about it and gave the media an absolute classic of an answer.

Sheesh. How’s that for intensity? Some guys are simply born to do the job and McDonald was one of them.

McDonald ends his career having played 101 NFL games in four seasons with the San Fransisco 49ers and the remaining four with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being traded in 2017. He scored 15 touchdowns and accumulated 2,036 yards over the course of his career.

McDonald has one of the more incredible stiff arms in recent memory that will play on a loop in our heads for years to come. He straight up bulldozed Bucs safety Chris Conte for the touchdown. The stiff arm literally ended Conte’s career. Check it out below.

McDonald is retiring to dedicate more time to his faith, his family, and his foundation. He’s also the Steelers nominee for the 2020 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. The Steelers will have work to do this offseason and missing McDonald will certainly hurt.
