UFC 257 PPV system down days after Dana White threatens illegal streamers

UFC 257 PPV system down days after Dana White threatens illegal streamers.

Just a few days after UFC president Dana White publicly threatened illegal streamers of UFC events, ESPN+ the current home for UFC Pay-Per-Views faced massive outages during the first UFC PPV of 2021, UFC 257: Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 2.

Fans and pros alike took to Twitter following the outage to share their outrage and disappointment with the UFC and ESPN for the outage of the service.

Many fans saw their streams ended following the completion of the preliminary fights and in some cases were given prompts to repurchase the PPV. In some cases, users were completely signed out of the ESPN app and unable to reauthorize their licenses.

UFC 257 took place on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, live from Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Follow along with FanSided for all your live news and highlights.
