It did not take long for Miles Sanders to respond to the Carson Wentz trade news.

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to trade starting quarterback Carson Wentz here very soon. Eagles running back Miles Sanders’ “response” on Instagram may have only been coincidental, but the timing of it is impeccable and the end result is hilarious.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first tweeted out the news that blockbuster trade involving Wentz was coming in the next few days at 3:15 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. Four minutes later, Sanders shared the following story on Instagram at 3:19 p.m. ET: “Philly we Super Bowl Bound real soon!” It may be Sanders getting excited about next season already, but this is some amazing timing.

Can Miles Sanders and the Eagles get to the Super Bowl without Carson Wentz?

Philadelphia made it to a Super Bowl three years ago, winning Super Bowl 52 over the New England Patriots. While Wentz played his best football of his career that season, he was not the quarterback for the Eagles during their playoff push and Super Bowl run. His backup Nick Foles marvelously filled in for him, winning Super Bowl MVP and becoming a Philadelphia sports legend.

Philadelphia does have a promising second-year pro in the quarterback room in Jalen Hurts. While he is still relatively raw as a passer out of Oklahoma by way of Alabama, it is not like he has not played in any big games before. Clearly, we are all jumping to conclusions here with regards to Sanders’ “response” to the Wentz trade rumors, but that does not mean it is not absurdly funny.

Could you even imagine if the Eagles got to the Super Bowl next season without Wentz again?
