Logo LeBron did not show up to the Target Center in Minneapolis.

With the Lakers and Timberwolves locked in a tight contest, LBJ tried to make a major statement at the end of the third quarter. James pulled up in the middle of the Wolves logo — just over halfcourt — and fired. The man was clearly feeling himself, and the result was the ultimate failed heat-check.

Logo LeBron needs to reel in his expectations a bit. The Lakers are playing the Wolves, not the Harlem Globetrotters. Without Anthony Davis for the time being, every game will be a challenge for James and LA. While Minnesota is technically an inferior opponent with a 7-20 record, don’t underestimate AD’s overall value. LeBron must truly prove his MVP value without his sidekick.

James is dominating in every other facet of the game, however. Through three quarters, he was nearing a triple-double.

Something tells me this airball will make the highlight reels, unfortunately. James is so good, some NBA fans just love to hate him. That’s how you know you made it.
