Francisco Lindor in Mets colors is going to take some getting used to.
Former Cleveland Indian, Francisco Lindor, was spotted in orange and blue for the first time during Spring Training and it was a strange sight to see, to say the least. Lindor was traded to the New York Mets during the offseason in a blockbuster deal and now the Mets are getting their fanbase acclimated with the new player.
The thing is, it’s not just jarring for fans to see Lindor as a Met, it’s a whole big thing for the coaches too.
“He showed up today, the position players were doing their physicals today, they finished and they got clearance to go out on the field and do some light work,” Mets manager Luis Rojas told the media (h/t Yahoo! Sports) “They just went to the back fields and took some BP. He was apart of the group that went out there. It was just great to see him in the uniform.
Francisco Lindor in orange and blue is a sight to see
“I think I’d seen a bunch of pictures out there of him in the uniform. But to actually see him in person wearing the Mets uniform is very exciting. Blending in with the rest of the guys that were out there a well, great personality, smiling of course. I’m looking forward to seeing him with the whole squad tomorrow.”
So get used to it, Lindor is here to stay.
