Anthony Castonzo’s decision to retire leaves the Colts with a troubling vacancy at the left tackle position. It could be something the team looks to address in free agency. The more cost-effective solution would be to acquire a new starter via the draft.

Darrisaw isn’t in the same class as Penei Sewell as a tackle prospect, but he does project to be a solid starter in time. He’s not an absolute mauler on the outside, but he’s got more than enough mobility to stymy edge rushers on the perimeter.

Protecting Wentz has to be one of the Colts’ top offseason priorities. The constant pressure he faced in Philadelphia was a big contributing factor to his poor play with the Eagles. Indianapolis can’t repeat that phenomenon if they want to receive different results from their new signal-caller.

If they believe Darrisaw has a chance to grow into a top-10 left tackle they should not hesitate to take him at No. 21. Otherwise, Indianapolis should look for a higher-ceiling option in free agency.
