The second leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona kicks off on Wednesday at Paris’ Parc des Princes. PSG enter the second leg with a commanding 4-1 lead. The four away goals will make it extremely difficult for Barcelona to come back and win. However, it was only four years ago that Barcelona were in a similar situation. After losing the open leg 4-0, Barcelona won 6-1 at Camp Nou to eliminate PSG in the round of 16.

Kylian Mbappe has been incredible this season, scoring 25 goals in all competitions, including three in the first leg. In addition to Mbappe, PSG will likely be getting Neymar back from injury. The return of Neymar will make PSG’s attack more dynamic and even tougher to defend.

Barcelona have started to play better after a terrible start to the season. Ronald Koeman’s team is unbeaten in their last 14 La Liga games to move within three points of first-place Atletico Madrid. Barcelona will have to continue their strong play if they are going to overcome a three-goal deficit. With Lionel Messi in the lineup, that is always possible. Messi has 24 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season, leading Barcelona in both categories. However, Barcelona will need more than just Messi to step up.
