Kansas was beaten badly by USC, and Jayhawks fans made their displeasure known towards head coach Bill Self.

There was no question that the Kansas Jayhawks’ performance against the USC Trojans was beyond disappointing, and fans let it be known.

Kansas lost 85-51 to USC, ending their season and sending the Trojans on their way to face Oregon in the Sweet 16.

Kansas fans are beyond disappointed after their embarrassing loss in the NCAA Tournament.

Fans let their voices be heard, with the main culprit being head coach Bill Self.

Self has not fared well against the PAC-12 despite having an impressive coaching resume. In his tenure at Kansas, he has produced several talented teams yet only has one championship on his resume and only two national championship appearances.

One fan expressed how the loss exposed finances within the basketball department.

The Jayhawks essentially had no answer for the Trojans shooting, as USC went 61% from beyond the arc compared to their 24 percent. Additionally, this is the second consecutive tournament in which the Jayhawks fell disappointingly in the Round of 32.

Others were a bit kinder to Self, speaking of how he was able to coach the Jayhawks this season, culminating with a 3-seed in the tournament.

There’s no question that this loss to USC will be one of the worst for Kansas. In fact, for such a proud program, they have had tough losses such as their 84-59 loss to Texas at home, an 80-61 disappointment against Tennessee this year, and notably, their loss to VCU 71-61 in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, during the Rams’ run to the final four in which they coincidentally, beat USC along the way.

There’s no question that Kansas will be back next year and be a force to be reckoned with. But if social media is any indication, fans are simply tired of coming up short year after year.
