The NFL has announced team’s will be playing 17 games starting next season and the Green Bay Packers got no favors whatsoever.

While Green Bay Packers fans are fired up that they’ll be seeing the team play one extra regular season game starting next campaign, it hasn’t come without a catch. Matter of fact, it’s a big one and it should bring some anger.

That’s because the Packers and Aaron Rodgers will now have to play the Kansas City Chiefs in ’21. On top of that, the game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium. So, Green Bay has to go play in one of the toughest environments in the league against one of the best players in the world in Patrick Mahomes?

Green Bay got screwed with their extra opponent for next season

The NFL sure made things tougher on the Packers. This could end up being a preview of next winter’s Super Bowl. That’s how good both the Chiefs and Packers are. With that said, how in the world is this fair for Green Bay?

With the extra game, the defense will now have the incredibly difficult task of trying to slow down Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and the rest of the Kansas City playmakers. Oh, and again, they’ll have to travel to Arrowhead to try and get that job done.

The Chiefs are entering the 2021 campaign as the favorites to win the Super Bowl. After winning it all in 2019, the team made it back to the big game in early February, but got rocked by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now, they’re motivated to shut up all of their haters and impress from start to finish in ’21. That’s terrible news for the Packers once their showdown with Kansas city indeed rolls around.
