Yankees have forgotten how to play baseball in its simplest form (Video)

The New York Yankees needed to start off strong on Thursday against the Cleveland Indians. They did everything but that.
After the New York Yankees won on Tuesday evening thanks to a wild pitch and a bases loaded walk, the team fell back to reality on Wednesday with a loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Yankees, sitting at 6-11, traveled to Cleveland to face the Indians with the hope they could turn things around. They certainly did not get off to a strong start.
The bottom of the first inning was basically a comedy of errors, as the Yankees simply forgot how to field. From a missed sliding catch by outfielder Brett Gardner to pitcher Domingo German bobbling an easy grounder on the pitchers mound, things got ugly for the Yankees, as they fell into an early 3-0 hole.

Yankees: New York’s awful first inning against the Indians
Eddie Rosario knocked in Cleveland’s first run after his ground ball was deflected by first baseman Mike Ford, allowing Cesar Hernandez to score. Then, the aforementioned German juggle on Franmil Reyes’ grounder allowed Jose Ramirez to score. Finally, Josh Naylor hit an RBI single to right field to knock in Rosario.
While the top of the first inning was brutal for the Yankees, they ended up tying the game in the top of the third, thanks to an RBI single by D.J. LeMahieu and a two-RBI single by Gleyber Torres.
Luckily, the Yankees were able to get back into the game, but nothing can erase whatever the team was doing to start the game.
