The star of last year’s draft, Bill Belichick’s Alaskan Klee Kai Nike, is back and ready for the New England Patriots to start picking players.

It wouldn’t be time for the NFL Draft if we didn’t get a glimpse of Bill Belichick’s amazing Alaskan Klee Kai “Nike.”

“The Swoosh Dog” looks absolutely focused on helping the Patriots find their newest draft picks.

“Final preparations as I gaze into my magic ‘Bill’ ball!” Nike wrote from his Instagram account.

If you forgot (how could you!), Nike gained fame during the 2020 draft when the camera caught him chilling in front of an open laptop in Belichick’s at-home war room.

When Belichick left the table, there was a bag of treats sitting next to the computer. Nike jumped up on the chair to get an eye on the goodies, according to Belichick’s girlfriend Linda Holliday on the Adam Schefter Podcast.

The moment perfectly captured the surreal nature of the entire draft, which was held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nike’s Instagram ballooned to more than 18,000 followers in the aftermath as the nation fell head over heels in love with the very good dog.

This time around, the draft will return to a sense of normality, with Cleveland hosting the event. A vaccinated Roger Goodell will be on stage hugging draftees.

The Patriots will be busy with 10 selections. They’ll have a pick in each of the first three rounds, then really go to town to start Day 3 with three fourth-round selections. Two more picks will come in the sixth with one in the fifth and seventh.

Will they go after a quarterback? Maybe the bigger question is how much screen time Nike will get this year?
