The White Sox are reportedly already getting impatient with the decisions made by manager Tony La Russa.

The Chicago White Sox made one of the most puzzling decisions of the MLB offseason by hiring Tony La Russa as manager.

The 76-year-old had not managed since 2011 and was hired to take over one of the more young and fun teams in baseball. Would he ruin the team at a time when there are World Series aspirations in Chicago?

So far the White Sox are doing just fine at 15-12. The main problem is all the injuries currently decimating the outfield. However, ESPN’s Jeff Passan dropped an interesting note about patience from members of the team “growing thin” toward La Russa.

Are White Sox players planning to revolt against Tony La Russa?

The heart of the issue is La Russa’s decision-making so far this season. However, the overall record shows he is not actively causing the team to be a disaster.

One key point brought up was last week’s loss when Lucas Giolito was seemingly left in far too long.

Giolito left the game with 114 pitches and the White Sox lost to the Detroit Tigers on a night when the Tigers made five errors.

There are notes about the La Russa discourse that must be acknowledged. Plenty of fans, and likely players, were upset with his hiring and want him gone as soon as possible. Managers all around MLB make questionable decisions and opting to ride with Giolito should not be a fireable offense.

One major concern is the fact this has leaked out after a winning month of April. Most around MLB, however, would say this was the most predictable outcome possible. The White Sox had plenty of younger, more innovating managers to choose from. Instead, they went with someone who was seemingly retired for a decade.

Everyone with the White Sox should want to remain patient and see how things go given all the missing players on the roster. That may ultimately be something only the front office can fix.
