Houston Astros star Alex Bregman lost his mind on the home plate ump following a terrible strike three call in Sunday’s game.

Frustration continues to climb for the Houston Astros, as their inconsistency so far this season has been strange to watch. For Alex Bregman, though, he’s been sensational at the plate and is in the middle of what could be a memorable campaign.

He’s the kind of guy that expects to record a timely hit in each at-bat. That’s why it’s understandable that he might lose his mind following a terrible call from the umps. This happened on Sunday with a more than questionable strikeout decision.

Alex Bregman let the expletives fly after a terrible strikeout call

Even if you’re a diehard Houston Astros hater, you can’t argue with the fact that the strikeout call here was absurd. That ball was clearly low, but Bregman still got rung up. You can understand why he was so upset, with multiple f-bombs making their way to our television screens, laptops and phones.

Bregman was pretty lucky not to get tossed there, as we’ve seen umps have pretty short fuses this year when it comes to players arguing with them. Despite that strikeout, it can’t take away from just how special Bregman has been this spring.

On the year, the third baseman is hitting an impressive .327, with five homers and 18 RBI. Unfortunately for Bregman, Houston’s other bats haven’t quite lived up to the hype, with the team posting a 17-16 record entering Sunday’s tilt with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Bregman will look to flush this awful call from his memory and keep grinding like usual. Still, is anyone else tired of this crap from the umps? It’s time for them to clean up these errors.
