Cleveland Indians fans react to Amed Rosario walkoff and sweeping Cubs

The Cleveland Indians just recorded a series sweep against the Chicago Cubs thanks to a walk-off from Amed Rosario. 

There’s a party going on in Cleveland on Wednesday and there’s no question Amed Rosario is the man of the hour. In a close game with the Chicago Cubs, the Indians slugger came up huge for the team with the game on the line.

In the bottom of the 10th and the bases juiced, Rosario sent Indians fans home with a smile thanks to a big hit. With some sweet contact of the lumber, Cleveland took down Chicago 2-1 and recorded a two-game sweep.

Thanks to that hit from Rosario, the Indians are now 20-14 on the year and only 0.5 games back of the Chicago White Sox for first place in the AL Central. As you might have been able to guess, the Indians supporters have been showering Rosario with love thanks to giving the team another big victory.

As you can see from the tweets above, folks all over Cleveland are jacked up for Wednesday’s win. Few things are better than an extra-innings victory. For it to be a walk-off against the Cubs only makes things even sweeter.

On the year, Rosario has struggled a bit, as he’s hitting a lowly .211 with two homers and nine RBI. However, fans will surely be able to forgive him for the rough start thanks to Wednesday’s game-winner. Who knows, this could be what leads to Rosario going on a hot streak at the dish.

For the standout shortstop, Wednesday’s victory is only going to boost his confidence going forward. What a victory for Cleveland.
