Game of the WeekRavens at Dolphins

The season of Tua Tagovailoa is upon us in Miami. If he doesn’t play well and the Dolphins struggle, they have enough draft capital to make a move for his replacement either in the draft or via trade. In short, Tagovailoa needs to win games and beating Lamar Jackson and the Ravens would be a big stepping stone for both quarterback and team.

Miami won 10 games last year but missed the playoffs when it was blown out by the Bills in Week 17. Tagovailoa threw three interceptions on the day, ending all hopes of winning a playoff game for the first time since 2000.

Of course, the Ravens are dealing with their own playoff issues. While Baltimore has won a Super Bowl in the last decade, the Ravens have won only one postseason tilt in their three trips with Jackson at the helm. Beating Miami isn’t a statement for a team with grand ambitions, but it is important to keep moving towards getting home-field advantage and giving the Ravens a terrific chance to advance.

In a loaded AFC with a litany of contenders, this game could be a decisive factor on who ends up hosting in January.
