Game of the WeekPackers at Chiefs

This could very well be a Super Bowl preview. Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes have never faced each other in their careers. Green Bay came to Kansas City two years ago, but Mahomes was unfortunately sidelined with a knee injury. Assuming both are healthy — and Rodgers doesn’t force his way out of town — this could be the marquee game of the year.

The Chiefs have completely rebuilt their offensive line in front of Mahomes, adding a bevy of veterans along with a pair of rookies on the interior. Meanwhile, the Packers have done little to change the team which has gone to each of the last two NFC title games. The biggest difference is losing All-Pro center Corey Linsley to the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding cornerback Eric Stokes out of Georgia in the draft’s first round.

Ultimately, we all want to see this one. Rodgers and Mahomes slinging the ball downfield to Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams and a host of others will be a treat. The winner will have some bragging rights, while the loser will hope to get some revenge in February, much as the Buccaneers did to the Chiefs last season.
