The Green Bay Packers have signed quarterback Blake Bortles and folks can’t stop trolling them over the questionable decision.

Some more offseason quarterback news is in for the Green Bay Packers, but it’s surely not what fans were hoping to see. General manager Brian Gutekunst went out and signed Blake Bortles to a new deal? Per Adam Schefter, that’s exactly what happened.

While the beef with Aaron Rodgers has countless cheeseheads out there depressed, this Bortles news isn’t going to cheer anyone up. Not even a bit. While people in Green Bay continue to have a meltdown, folks in Chicago and Minnesota are laughing their heads off at the same time.

Folks are trolling the Packers left and right for the Blake Bortles news

Can you blame folks for taking shots at Gutekunst and Green Bay? The Rodgers beef with the front office has been one thing, but for Bortles to sign is just insulting. Vikings and Bears fans are loving every minute of this on Twitter.

These tweets are only example of the thousands of posts that have gone up on social media since the news was revealed. The Packers have dominated the NFC North for years, but for once, the team is dealing with some not-so-pleasant adversity. It really feels totally up in the air if Rodgers will take the field come Week 1 of the 2021 campaign.

Imagine a world where instead of Rodgers leading out the offense, Bortles somehow starts to open the season. To go from Rodgers to Bortles would be like driving a Ferrari and then downgrading to a 2004 Honda Accord, which has been in 11 accidents. We wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on the Packers. Bears and Vikings fans, though? They’d love to see it.
