Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and his girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger are due to welcome a second child into their lives.

Congratulations are in order for Giannis Antetokounmpo and his girlfriend, who announced a second baby on the way.

The pair already have a one-year-old son together. Now the family is expanding.

”My son is my purpose.’ I know it’s a cliché statement, but it’s the truth! Becoming a mom has helped me realize what I am capable of; physically, mentally and emotionally. My son has taught me more about patience, perseverance and passion in these past 15 months than I have ever known. But most importantly he’s opened my eyes to my true potential. I’ve made it through sleepless nights, teething and the beginning of toddler tantrums, and at this point I feel invincible,” Riddlesprigger wrote on Instagram. “Oh and I forgot to mention baby #2 is on the way and I’m in for even more life lessons! My kids are my biggest blessing and my greatest lesson!

The Bucks forward will have his mind on the NBA playoffs, which are fast approaching, but having another child is definitely something to get excited about. Being an NBA champion and a two-time dad would be an amazing way to welcome baby No. 2 into the world.

Antetokounmpo has Milwaukee sitting third in the Eastern Conference standings. He’s averaging 28.4 points, 11 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks this season. The Bucks will face a tough challenge getting through the east this year, with the 76ers and Nets in the No. 1 and No. 2 seed. The first test will involve besting the Heat or the Knicks in the first round.

Milwaukee lost in the semifinals last year but made it to the finals in 2019 before losing to the eventual-champion Raptors.
