Lakers guard Dennis Schroder made it clear he no longer rocks Kyrie Irving sneakers.

The NBA is a unique sport where players on the floor may be rocking shoes with an opponent’s name on them. And when it comes to collections, they surely have some in their closets.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder posted a video where he was showing off his own shoe collection. When it came to a pair of Kyrie Irving shoes, Schroder said he is done with them after what happened between the two players back in April.

For those unaware, Schroder is talking about April 10 when he and Irving got into it on the floor.

Irving apparently said something strong enough for Schroder to give up on Kyrie’s line of shoes for good. That dust-up also got both ejected from the game.

Now fans want to know what really happened. Not wanting to wear a rival’s shoes is one thing. But Schroder almost sounds upset that he cannot stomach the idea of ever wearing the sneakers again.

Irving won’t shed any tears over this, and a Lakers-Brooklyn Nets NBA Finals series could be a legendary one given this additional storyline. Not to mention the endless list of other storylines that would already dominate the headlines.

Such a series is possible after the Lakers took down the Golden State Warriors in Wednesday’s play-in game. But Schroder and his team have to worry about rolling through the postseason as surprise underdogs before thinking about the Finals.
