Jake Paul inks deal with Showtime Sports

Jake Paul’s celebrity boxing saga continues, signing a deal with Showtime Sports shortly after knocking out Ben Askren in April.

Jake Paul has carved his celebrity boxing future. After a brief stint with Triller, the YouTube sensation and boxer is looking to advance his career forward. Paul signed a deal with Showtime Sports, which is home to Showtime boxing and Bellator MMA coverage for combat sports lovers everywhere.

According to ESPN, Paul secured a deal with Showtime after deciding to not finish the two fights that we’re left on his original Triller contract. At press time, Jake Paul does not have another fight booked, but he has been an instrumental piece of the promotion between Floyd Mayweather and Jake’s brother, Logan Paul.

At a press conference in Miami, the popular YouTube star and undefeated Mayweather got into a scuffle that gained worldwide attention. While it’s unclear if this incident did have an impact on Jake Paul’s next move, it did signify that the brothers have been put on-notice by fans and media members as potential superstars for future generations to come.

Jake Paul’s last bout with Triller was one to remember

Jake Paul built himself up from a YouTube-famous celebrity to boxing former UFC welterweight, Ben Askren. Through months of build up, the two men finally met in Atlanta, Georgia. in April, and if the fans in attendance blinked an eye, they might have missed Paul’s fight-ending sequence.

Paul has yet to compete against an actual professional boxer, but with Showtime having a vast majority of stars such as Gervonta Davis, more opportunities could come about for the viral, comedic sensation.
