Steph Curry seemingly shrugged off LeBron James trying to sell him a story about his game-winning shot.

Sparing hyperbole, the Lakers-Warriors play-in game on Wednesday night met and exceeded the hype.

We knew a showdown between LeBron James and Steph Curry with playoff seeding on the line would probably be good, but what happened ended up being great. We had controversial officiating, a Drake sighting, and a game-winner with an extra helping of LeBron acting.

Late in the game, LeBron got sent to the floor by Draymond Green who appeared to have smacked the Lakers star in the eye. A few possessions later, LeBron drained a 3-pointer that was already an incredible shot on its own but was made even more astonishing given the fact that he had just been poked in the eye. The cherry on top is the fact that Steph Curry was guarding LeBron when he fired off the shot.

If you listen closely, you can hear the lore of that shot growing in real-time.

After the game, the two shared a moment and it looks like Steph waves LeBron off as soon as he starts talking about how he couldn’t see straight when he took the game-winning shot.

LeBron told ESPN after the game that he saw three rims and tried to aim for the one in the middle of his vision. It’s still too early to argue about whether or not that’s true or if this is one of those tales where the fish keeps getting bigger each time the story is retold. What matters is LeBron daggered the Warriors by hitting a clutch catch-and-shoot over the league’s most iconic three-point shooter.

Given the history those two have in big playoff moments, this is a pretty awesome entry into their rivalry.
