Per New York Mets manager Luis Rojas, ace hurler Jacob deGrom is on track to return to the bump for his Tuesday start.

The wait is almost over for New York Mets fans ready to see superstar pitcher Jacob deGrom back on the bump for the club. On Sunday, skipper Luis Rojas revealed that deGrom is feeling just fine and should be ready to rock for his next scheduled start.

Earlier this week, deGrom made a rehab start for the St. Lucie Mets and was tossing over 100 MPH. Now, he’ll be ready to do a little bit of the same back in the bigs, with New York ready to face the Rockies on Tuesday night.

Jacob deGrom is all set to start for the New York Mets on Tuesday against the Rockies

Recently, deGrom was pulled from a start and then sent to the Injured List after suffering from right side tightness. It was a concern for Rojas and the entire coaching staff. The last thing this team needed was for one of the most dominant hurlers in the game to be injured. Fortunately, deGrom’s injury wasn’t a serious one at all and he’ll be ready to rock against Colorado.

He’ll enter that start with a 3-2 record and ridiculous 0.68 ERA. He has also posted 65 strikeouts on the season. When deGrom is on his game, his staff is absolutely nasty and opposing hitters look downright silly trying to make contact with his pitches.

Come Tuesday, deGrom will look to frustrate the Colorado hitters from start to finish. It’s something Mets fans all over the country can’t wait to see. After a little time away from the club, deGrom will surely be amped up to put on a show against the Rockies.
