Refs completely screwed Lakers on late no-call against Dennis Schroder (Video)

In the Game 4 loss to the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers had a late call not go in their favor on a Dennis Schroder lay-up. 

Sunday just didn’t go as planned for the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team suffered a rough loss to the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 at the Staples Center. Just like that, this series is all squared up at 2-2 between the two sides.

With that said, Los Angeles fans are pretty upset at the refs thanks to a non-call that came later in the action. With the Lakers down seven points, Dennis Schroder drove the lane and missed a lay-up. However, he appeared to be fouled on the play. The whistle wasn’t blown, though, and Schroder was irate.

There was clearly body contact on this one. Yet, no call for the Lakers and Schroder? Unreal. To make matters worse for the Lakers here, Phoenix got the ball and then Jae Crowder drilled a 3-pointer to strengthen their lead to 10 points. Ouch.

That was a five-point swing right there, completely changing things. Imagine if Schroder would have gone to the charity stripe and drilled both free-throws. It’d be a five-point game with plenty of time for LA to try and complete their comeback. Instead, Crowder broke countless LA hearts.

For Los Angeles, they’ll now hope to regroup in Game 5. That could be quite the challenge, as Anthony Davis left the action early on due to a groin strain. It’s up in the air when he’ll be able to get back on the hardwood. Should Davis miss multiple games, things will surely get complicated for the defending NBA Finals champions.
