NBA players and fans were left stunned watching Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard’s insane performance against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

For those of you who happened to be watching the Phoenix Suns easily disposing of the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5, you missed Dame Time. That is right, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard put up another impressive performance on Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets.

With Denver up 121-118, Lillard took an inbounds pass and hit a clutch three-pointer to send the game into overtime. The star guard was not done there, as he hit another game-tying three pointer to send the game into double overtime! However, Lillard’s heroics were not enough, as the Nuggets won 147-140 to take a 3-2 series lead.

NBA stars, fans, media and professional athletes of other sports all collectively lost their minds watching Dame Time take over the end of Game 5 on Tuesday.

Sports world loses its mind watching Damian Lillard’s classic performance

While Lillard will be lauded and praised for his performance, you just know that he really wanted that win.

Lillard made history on Tuesday, as he hit 12 three-pointers in Game 5, the most by any player in an NBA playoff game. He accomplished this goal on just 17 attempts! Lillard scored 55 points while shooting 17-for-24 from the field, and recorded 10 assists, six rebounds and three blocks.

The Nuggets emerged victorious thanks to a strong showing by NBA MVP favorite Nikola Jokic, who recorded 38 points (14-of-31 from field), 11 rebounds, nine assists and four blocks. Jokic received help from Monte Morris, who scored 28 points off the bench, and Michael Porter Jr., who tallied 26 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 10-for-13 from the field.

Despite Lillard’s ridiculous showing, the Trail Blazers are now on the brink of elimination. They will look to force a Game 7 with a victory on Thursday night back at home.
