Paul Craig kicked off the main card of UFC 263 with a win over Jamahal Hill.
Paul Craig came into the fight well-known for his elite grappling skills and didn’t disappoint against the always dangerous Jamahal Hill.
Hill attempted to keep the fight standing at the beginning of the round, but Craig was able to get the fight to the ground and had Hill in deep waters. Craig then proceeded to put Hill’s left arm in a tight squeeze from the bottom position, snapping his arm in the process.
The fight arguably could’ve been stopped as soon as Hill’s arm was completely shattered, but Craig was able to get some ground-and-pound strikes off from the bottom and the fight was stopped shortly after.
With an impressive performance, Paul Craig has the chance to make a run in the UFC’s light heavyweight division
Craig came into the bout having avenged an earlier draw against former UFC champion Shogun Rua by knocking him out at UFC 255. Hill entered the octagon with an undefeated record of 8-0-1 including a second-round knockout of Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Vegas 16.
In a matchup of ranked light heavyweights, Craig came away with the win and will more than likely get another big name for his next fight.
