NBA fans want Doc Rivers fired after the Philadelphia 76ers blew a 26-point lead in Game 5.

When your team falls flat on its face in a series-swinging Game 5, you’re bound to take some heat. When it does so at home after holding a 26 point lead with 20 minutes remaining, fans are going to destroy you.

Philadelphia 76ers fans lost faith in their head coach tonight. Doc Rivers, you blew it. Let’s look at some of the reaction on NBA Twitter.

NBA Twitter thinks 76ers should fire Doc Rivers after Game 5 collapse

Backed by Trae Young‘s 39 points, the Atlanta Hawks mounted a comeback for the ages. They won 109-106 in the end, scoring as many points (40) in the fourth quarter as they did in the entire first half.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time a Doc Rivers coached team has coughed it up in the playoffs. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us. Fool us… six times? Yikes.
