The NHL playoffs are attracted Ralph Macchio and Jimmy Fallon to Game 3 between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Thursday night’s NHL playoff battle between the Lightning and Islanders had a couple of celebrity cameos.

The Karate Kid himself, Ralph Macchio, was in the building along with “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon.

The pair was there to take in Game 3, which ended with a Lightning victory 2-1.

It looked like Macchio and Fallon were having a time of it.

Macchio is a lifelong Islanders fan, having grown up in New York. He’s even had a bobblehead night with the team in 2016. In that sense, it’s no surprise to see him there to cheer on New York as they faced a tough postseason test.

The child star has only gotten bigger since 2016. His career has experienced a late resurgence. He once again stars as Danny LaRusso in Cobra Kai, the wildly popular spinoff of The Karate Kid. A fourth season is on the way later this way.

Fallon has been spotted at Rangers games regularly, but the allure of playoff hockey had him turning up for the other New York team.

While Islanders fans had their chance to cheer a second-period goal from Cal Clutterbuck, the night belonged to the Lightning.

Yanni Gourde opened the scoring in the first period before the scores evened up in the second. Brayden Point quickly responded to Clutterbuck’s goal to put his team back in front. A scoreless third period ensured the Tampa Bay win.

The Lightning now own a 2-1 series lead, paying back the Islanders for their Game 1 win in Florida. The series will stay in New York for Game 4 on Saturday.
