WWE Twitter reacts to death of the legendary Mr. Wonderful, Paul Orndorff

WWE legend and Hall of Famer Paul Orndorff, known as Mr. Wonderful, died on Monday after battling a long illness. 

Mr. Wonderful is at peace.

Paul Orndorff, the WWE legend and Hall of Fame wrestler, died on Monday at the age of 71. In recent months, Orndorff’s health began to decline as he suffered from dementia.

He was known to generations of wrestling fans thanks to his rise in the 1980s and his sustained presence throughout the decades. He appeared alongside Hulk Hogan, won titles in the WCW, and was a part of the first WrestleMania.

Simply put, he was truly Wonderful.

The outpouring of love and support as the WWE world mourned showed just how beloved Orndorff was.

One of Orndorff’s greatest battles, and perhaps part of his lasting legacy, happened outside of the ring. Orndorff was part of a lawsuit against WWE that alleged wrestlers incurred long-term neurological injuries and that the company fraudulently misrepresented and concealed the nature and extent of those injuries.

It’s believed by his family that Orndorff’s dementia was caused by CTE that he suffered throughout his wrestling career.
