Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis prevented Suns guard Chris Paul from getting in the face of referee Scott Foster during Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Suns guard Chris Paul has turned engaging with referees into a game all itself.

He’s definitely no stranger to getting technicals for complaining too vigorously.

Funnily enough, during Game 6 of the NBA Finals, it was an opponent holding him back from getting in the face of referee Scott Foster.

Bucks forward Bobby Portis got in between Paul and the ref after he called a foul during a drive.

Paul and the Suns were furious over the call. He might have been hot enough over it to get a technical if not for Portis’ intervention.

Maybe next time Portis, who was laughing throughout, should let Paul do his thing instead of getting in the way.

That’s assuming, of course, there will be a next time. The Bucks need a win in Game 6 to clinch the NBA title.

Paul and the Suns hope to extend the series with a Game 7 back in Phoenix.

Either way, Portis will keep being an entertaining figure. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, he spent his pre-draft interview in Brooklyn talking in the third person. That might just be something he does all the time too.
