New Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields went above and beyond to surprise a fan who was fighting for his life last month.

Rookie quarterback Justin Fields hasn’t even played a down for the Chicago Bears yet and he’s already becoming a fan favorite all over The Windy City. Take his latest move for example, which is sure to warm hearts everywhere.

As it turns out, one Chicago supporter was shot in the back last month and was in the hospital fighting for his life. He told family and friends he had to make it so he could watch Fields suit up for Chicago. Fields found out about this and decided to pay him a visit. Simply awesome.

Justin Fields visiting a Bears fan who nearly lost his life is so incredibly special

That smile on the fan’s face says it all. You can tell this moment meant the world to him. Just a month ago, it looked like he wasn’t going to make it. Now, he’s alive to tell his story and even has a new Fields jersey to boot. This is a moment he’ll never forget.

As for Fields, you’ve got to give him credit here. Again, he hasn’t even played in a game for his new team, but he’s going out of his way to make an impact in the community. He could have just heard about this fan and ignored it.

Instead, he took time out of his incredibly busy schedule to meet with him, hook the fan up with a jersey and take a photo. Come this fall, everyone will be ready to cheer on Fields the second he’s handed the keys to the offense. This fan that was shot will be screaming the loudest when he’s at Soldier Field, no doubt about that.

Next. Justin Fields just made his first big headlines with the Bears. dark
