Caeleb Dressel capped his dominant 2021 Olympics with another gold medal and another Olympic record in the 50m freestyle final.

Caeleb Dressel completed the third of his individual events at the 2021 Olympics with a clean sweep of gold medals.

On Saturday, Dressel beat out the competition for gold in the men’s 50m freestyle while setting an Olympic record.

That’s his fourth gold medal of these games and his second Olympic record to go along with a world record in the 100m butterfly.

Here’s how the 50m freestyle played out:

NBC had an even cooler angle of the entire 50m freestyle final with the underwater view.

Those were 22 breathless seconds for Dressel en route to another gold.

France’s Florent Manaudou took silver by just 0.02 seconds, while Brazil’s Bruno Fratus took bronze. American Michael Andrew came in fourth, a mere 0.03 seconds away from a medal.

Caeleb Dressel’s individual dominance at the 2016 Olympics is complete

Dressel now has six gold medals in his Olympics career, adding four this year to his two from 2016 in Rio.

The final event for Dressel is still coming up. To start his time in Tokyo, he helped Team USA grab gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay. To finish things off, he’ll try to reach that height again in the men’s 4x100m medley relay. The Americans came first in that event at the 2016 Olympics and will be looking to repeat the feat this year.

The only event Dressel has participated in during these Olympics without winning gold was the 100m mixed medley, with Team USA finishing fifth.
