Los Angeles Angels shortstop Jose Iglesias could not wait to get his push-ups in, as he did so in the midst of a double play in Saturdays game against the Oakland Athletics.

It’s always good to fit in some exercises in between daily activities. For Los Angeles Angels shortstop Jose Iglesias, he did so in the middle of a crucial infield play.

During Saturday’s game against the Oakland Athletics, Iglesias fielded a ground ball from Matt Olson and flipped it to Jack Mayfield at second base to get the out. As Mayfield was making the throw to first for the double-play, Iglesias can be seen doing some push-ups right behind second base.

Angels: Jose Iglesias does push-ups in the middle of a double play

Hey, it never hurts to get in some push-ups in the middle of your day. For Iglesias, he felt the perfect time was in the middle of a successful double-play.

The Angels ended up defeating the Athletics by the score of 1-0 in Saturday afternoon baseball. The man responsible for Los Angeles’ lone run was, of course, designated hitter Shohei Ohtani, who hit an RBI double in the bottom of the third inning.

With this victory in the books, the Angels will look to even up the four-game series against the Athletics on Sunday.
