4. Harry Giles

If teams out there want to bolster their frontcourt depth while taking a chance on a young player with an intriguing ceiling, Harry Giles should be their guy.

Giles is only 22 years old and coming out of his third season in the NBA. In his first two seasons, he averaged 17.9 and 17.1 points per 36 minutes. This past campaign with the Portland Trail Blazers, he averaged 11.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per 36 minutes.

Granted, those numbers are skewed because of the limited minutes he’s actually played. He’s had injuries and foul trouble while also struggling to carve out a role for himself. However, those are things that a player at his age can certainly overcome.

What Giles needs is the right team to come in figure out how to maximize his potential. The fact is, the potential is absolutely there. He was a fan favorite in Sacramento after they drafted him No. 20 overall in 2017 for a reason. He’s just waiting for someone to take on the project. The reward at the end of that road could be high.
