Suni Lee follows the Olympian tradition of  getting a tattoo of the legendary Olympic Rings after her 2021 debut.

Getting the Olympic Rings tattoo is a fraternal tradition. When you make it to the Olympic level, you’re a part of the bond… a part of a group of people that did everything it took to be the best at your sport, representing those aspiring to be as great as you are.

This tradition isn’t new, either. It goes back to the mid-1980s, where the International Business Times says that Olympian, Chris Davis was inspired by a Canadian swimmer’s maple leaf tattoo. It’s like a fraternity brand… but without the regret, keloids and high likelihood of infection.

Suni Lee decides to get her own Olympic Rings tattooed on her forearm, following the decade long tradition

For the new Olympian, Suni Lee, she brought home a helping of gold, silver and bronze for her first go-round in the 2021 Olympics. To add, she stepped up in her teammate, Simone Biles’ absence due to her battle with mental health woes.

With that, she’s the perfect candidate to join the tradition of getting the Olympic Ring tattoo.  She took to Instagram to show off her ink, following in Biles’s footsteps getting it tattooed on her forearm.

She’ll join the legends before and after, being a dope athlete with an even more dope tattoo to represent her contributions she’s made on the athletic front. We doubt anyone wouldn’t know who she is after the Olympics, but in case anyone doesn’t she can just flash her arm and let people know.
