Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith just recorded his first-career NFL touchdown and Alabama fans are going to love seeing it.

Talk about a dream first game in the NFL for Philadelphia Eagles wideout Devonta Smith. The first-round pick has wasted no time putting on a show for his new team, as he hauled in a touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts in the first quarter.

How could that score be even more special for Smith? Well, it came at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the same house where he recorded his game-winning score against Georgia in the 2018 National Championship Game. You can’t make this stuff up.

Devonta Smith recording his first NFL touchdown in Atlanta is incredibly special

No Alabama fan will ever forget that ’18 title game. In the second half, it looked like Georgia was going to take home the trophy. Instead, Alabama came roaring back and forced overtime. In that extra session, Tua Tagovailoa fired a deep bomb down the field to Smith for the game-winning score.

It’s a play that will go down in history for the Crimson Tide faithful. Now, Smith has moved on to the NFL, and he’s started his career in the NFC East with an absolute bang. With his speed and incredible hands, Smith was a no-brainer first-round selection.

Smith figures to be a key playmaker for the Philly offense from start to finish this season. He’s going to be a major problem for opposing defensive backs for years to come. That first touchdown against the Falcons was just a small taste of what that kid can do.

Moving forward, you better believe Smith will be ready to keep on recording electric plays and do so in style. Eagles supporters are fired up for his future.
