Running Back 1: Dalvin Cook — $8,400

Dalvin Cook yet again is up in the top three in fantasy points thus far. I expect that to remain this week, as he faces the Seattle Seahawks who currently give up the most fantasy points to running backs.

Spending a premium for a player who you believe is going to blow up is something to always strongly consider, and I think this week it’s Cook, whose volume and production rivals any other running back in the league.

Cook’s matchup against the Seahawks is a smash spot, so I’m easily spending big to get him here.

Running Back 2: Chase Edmonds — $5,700

Getting a starting running back at $5,700? That’s an easy one. Chase Edmonds has dominated snaps, compared to his backfield mate in James Conner. The touches have been somewhat similar but one, Edmonds his a highly-efficient player, and two, Edmonds gets nearly 100% of the passing game work.

Being able to secure that type of role and production at that cost, while playing against a league-worst Jacksonville defense is a win. Edmonds is a must-start either at your RB2 or FLEX spot this week.
