Gus Johnson achieved peak Gus Johnson on this 109-yard touchdown return by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

When Urban Meyer said it was Alabama every week, he was not kidding.

In Meyer’s third game as the Jacksonville Jaguars head coach, returner Jamal Agnew Kick Six-ed the Arizona Cardinals. Fate would have it, Gus Johnson would be there to call the incredible play. The only thing better than Johnson blowing yet another gasket on the call was the hard-hitting insight of Aqib Talib backing him up in the booth. This was bigger than any Big Noon Saturday.

It was only fitting that Josh Lambo missed the ensuing PAT to make it 13-7 Jaguars into halftime.

Gus Johnson best calls could include the Jaguars 109-yard TD return

This is what happens when you forget that you are an NFL head coach and not trying to holding your own in a Big 12 shootout at Texas Tech. Kliff Kingsbury’s Cardinals may be 2-0 on the season, but this brain fart of a play call is how you lose to one of the worst teams in the entire league. Regardless, it was so good to have Johnson in the booth to give us this spectacular Duval moment.

On the Gus Johnson scale, the play-by-play announcer took it up a notch for even his standard.
