Here are the five biggest NFL disappointments through Week 4 of the regular season.

Four weeks into the regular season, there have been many surprises across the NFL. Let’s take a look at five teams that have been disappointments, thus far.

Pittsburgh Steelers

After their Week 1 victory over the Buffalo Bills, the Pittsburgh Steelers have gone 0-3.

Collectively, the Steelers’ offense has been a mess. Through four games, the Steelers have scored a total of 67 points; only three teams have scored fewer points this season (Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Miami Dolphins).

The problem begins with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. His QBR of 36.9 ranks 28th in the NFL. At age 39, Roethlisberger lacks the mobility to extend plays or scramble.

In the pocket, he is limited to mainly throwing short, quick passes. He is 29th in yards per pass attempt, and his average time to throw is 2.33 seconds, which is the fastest in the NFL.

The Steelers’ offensive line has not fared much better. Their offensive line is 29th in the NFL in run block win rate.

As a result, the Steelers’ run game has been virtually nonexistent. They are last in rushing yards per game, and Najee Harris is averaging a mere 3.4 yards per carry.

With an aging Roethlisberger at quarterback, the Steelers cannot win games as a pass-first football team.

Right now, the other three teams in the AFC North all sit at 3-1. The Steelers will need to turn their season around quickly or they could be out of the playoff mix early.
