The Carolina Panthers have signed Michael Jordan to join their team. No, not THAT Michael Jordan, the other one.

Folks in North Carolina are likely pretty big fans of the Carolina Panthers‘ newest addition. Or rather, they might be fans of a guy who shares his name. Either way, the Panthers just picked up a new offensive lineman to help bolster things up front and his name is Michael Jordan.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Panthers have signed Jordan to join their active roster.

Jordan hasn’t been around in the NFL for very long, but he does have some meaningful experience that could be beneficial for the Panthers.

The 23-year-old offensive lineman was picked in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He started in 10 games for the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2020 and played in a total of 14 games last season for Cincinnati. In total, Jordan has played in 27 games and started in 19.

Jordan was waived by the Bengals in August and then claimed off waivers in September. He was then waived by the Panthers and subsequently signed to Carolina’s practice squad earlier this month. But now he is making his way to the Panthers’ active roster.

The Panthers are currently 3-2 and are second in the NFC South. Their next game is at home against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 17 in Week 6.

Next. Panthers fans should be nervous with Matt Rhule’s comment on Christian McCaffrey. dark
