Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers casts his vote for the best “trash talkers” in the NFL, and his nomination goes to Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Even though Sunday’s game is over, Aaron Rodgers won’t stop owning the Bears.

This time, it’s to tell Bears fans that they’re not even the best trash talkers in the league.

That distinction is reserved for Philadelphia, home of the most rambunctious fanbases in all of sports.

“There’s some places we’ve been that have some rowdy fans,” Rodgers said when asked about getting the middle finger for his Soldier Field taunts. “Philly, I think, might be the best trash talkers.”

The rest of the sports world would tend to agree, but no one puts it as politely as Rodgers. While Rodgers gives Philly fans the edge over Chicagoans as “the best trash talkers”, Philly fans simply have the reputation of being the worst fans.

The most recent evidence? Two Philly fans were escorted out of the men’s restroom by police at a Carolina Panthers game. Even Barstool Philly admits that you “can’t take Philly fans anywhere.”

Aaron Rodgers deems Eagles fans “the best trash talkers” in the NFL

The best display of Philly fandom was following the Super Bowl in 2018 when Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles vanquished the Patriots’ Tom Brady and his 505 passing yards.

It was an unforgettable moment as Philadelphia took home its fist Super Bowl in franchise history.  Philadelphians celebrated by flooding the streets and…climbing light poles?

The issue was so widespread that hydraulic fluid was used to prevent fans from scaling up the light poles, but nothing could stop Iggles faithful from climbing them.

It’s likely that Rodgers has heard his fair share of trash talk from Eagles fans over the years, considering that he owns them along with the Bears. Rodgers has won five of seven games against the Eagles since becoming the starting quarterback in 2008.
