As the Los Angeles Lakers continue to struggle, Anthony Davis’ knee injury scare was the last things fans needed.

The start of the 2021-2022 NBA season hasn’t been kind to the Los Angeles Lakers or their fans. The Lakers entered into their game against the San Antonio Spurs with a 1-2 record and those three games have been loaded with drama of all sorts and an injury to LeBron James.

So, when Anthony Davis went down with an apparent knee injury during Los Angeles’ game against San Antonio, it seemed like an unfortunate addition to a rough string of bad news for the Lakers.

Davis went down with the apparent injury late in the fourth quarter with the game tied up at 114-114.

However, it seems like Los Angeles fans can breathe a bit as Davis was able to get back in the game without any major issue. And if fans were hoping for even more good news, Los Angeles was able to surge to a 125-121 victory over the Spurs in overtime.

All that said, it’s not totally clear if Davis is 100 percent healthy after falling like that.

When considering his injury history, it’s fair to be concerned about whether or not he’ll be able to play after getting dinged up.

That said, right now, Davis appears capable of playing for LA. That bit of good news is something Los Angeles fans have been needing.
