2. Green Bay will run the ball 40+ times

This game will be billed as a battle between two of the league’s best quarterbacks, but the Packers will be more than happy to bludgeon the Chiefs on the ground. That means both Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon are in line for a heavy workload on Sunday.

Both players have a chance to log over 20 carries if Green Bay’s offensive line gets going early in the game. Jones is the big-play threat and Dillon is the bruising back who can help the Packers salt this game away in the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs’ defense might attempt to load the box to stop the run in the first half but Rodgers will make enough big throws to convince them that crowding the line of scrimmage is a mistake. Matt LaFleur and his offensive staff have the patience required to turn modest gains on the ground into long scoring drives.

That won’t result in a banner individual day for Rodgers, but it will serve to keep Mahomes on the sidelines. That’s a great way for Green Bay to run their win streak to eight games in a row.
