After a hot start to the season, the Cincinnati Bengals have now suffered back-to-back losses to the Jets and Browns in disappointing fashion.

Just two week ago, Cincinnati Bengals fans were riding high. Cincinnati was 5-2 on the year and looking like a serious threat to win the AFC North. Fast forward to present time and things have certainly been flipped upside down.

Last weekend, the Bengals suffered an embarrassing loss to the Mike White-led New York Jets. The team had a golden opportunity to bounce back this week against the Cleveland Browns. However, Cincinnati dropped the ball again, suffering a 41-16 loss.

It’s been back-to-back rough weeks for the Cincinnati Bengals

Offensively, it was a bit of a day to forget for the Bengals and quarterback Joe Burrow. The former No. 1 overall pick tossed two interceptions in the outing. He just didn’t look like his usual self going up against Cleveland. In the first quarter, he tossed a pick-six that Denzel Ward took back 99 yards. Goodness.

Defensively, the Bengals simply had no answers for star running back Nick Chubb. Chubb was an absolute beast on Sunday, rushing for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Chubb’s day was really made sweet with his 70-yard score in the third quarter, which put the Browns up 31-10.

This was a complete and total domination by the Browns. Folks thought maybe there’d be some issues with the team following all of the Odell Beckham Jr. drama, but that wasn’t the case whatsoever.

If anything, Cleveland looked much stronger without Beckham out on the field. Cincinnati saw this first hand, as the Bengals couldn’t hang with their division foe. Perhaps we all drank the Bengals Kool-Aid a bit too early. Cincinnati really hasn’t looked strong in its past two losses.

LSU legend Joe Burrow thinks playing in the SEC helped him dominate in the NFL. dark. Next
