It started with a few dreamers.

The idea grew and spread…

Until there were no shirts left to conquer.

For the record, was 36 degrees at kickoff, so the shirt-off phenomenon was no trifling thing. Those fans braved the cold with no protection to cheer on their team. That’s a special form of dedication.

Sadly, the gesture didn’t seem to get the players on the field going. While the Hoosiers were able to kick a field goal to end the half, they opened the third quarter by giving up a touchdown to Rutgers to go down 24-3.

The shirtless revolution could turn the tide for Indiana, whose 2021 season has been an utter disaster. After a promising 2020 campaign, the Hoosiers entered the fall with huge hopes. Instead, they came into the weekend at 2-7 and without a win in Big Ten play.

The disappointment of Indiana fans may have turned to madness but at least it’s coming in memorable fashion.
