College football media reacts to Utah spoiling Oregon’s playoff hopes
By Ethan Lee
The Utah Utes are working clear the way for the Cincinnati Bearcats to make the College Football Playoff as they try to spoil the Oregon Ducks’ special season.
The Oregon Ducks aren’t enjoying their road game against the Utah Utes all that much. Utah has found a way to completely stymie Joe Moorhead’s offense while the Utes’ offense is able to effortlessly move down the field against Mario Cristobal’s Ducks.
Oh, and Oregon gave up an electric, 78-yard punt return touchdown at the end of the first half as Utah claimed a dominant 28-0 lead.
Things aren’t going well for Oregon right now and there’s a very real reason to believe the Ducks won’t be making the College Football Playoff this season. The Cincinnati Bearcats should be thrilled with everything that’s going on in Rice-Eccles Stadium right now.
Oregon Ducks College Football Playoff hopes in jeopardy as Utah Utes show up in pivotal Pac-12 game
This game is likely over. It’d take one heck of a miracle for Oregon to actually mount a comeback in this game.
Everything is going poorly for Oregon’s offense right now. Unfortunately for the Ducks, their defense hasn’t shown up either.
It feels like even if Oregon finds a way to get back into this game, the Ducks have already proved that they aren’t a great fit for the College Football Playoff committee to keep in the top four.
The mood in Eugene is probably not great right about now.
