This past weekend was a huge game for the Buckeyes, as they took on fellow one-loss team at the time, the Michigan State Spartans. In what was expected to be a close contest, was over at halftime. Quarterback C.J. Stroud shined against the Spartans, as he completed 32-of-35 pass attempts for 432 yards and six touchdowns in the 56-7 win.
The Buckeyes received a bit of help from Alabama, who had to fight hard for their 42-35 win over Arkansas. As a result of their close game, the Crimson Tide fell one spot in the rankings.
Ohio State has caught fire at the right time, as they have looked unbeatable since their close game to Nebraska on Nov. 6. Now, they prepare for their game against the rival Michigan Wolverines, a team that they have beaten in each of their previous eight meetings.
The Buckeyes have the second-overall ranking, now let’s see if they can keep it after this weekend.
