4. Saints run defense has a much better day against Bills

We are not going to sugarcoat it — the Saints had a miserable time stopping the Eagles’ running backs. In the loss on Sunday, head coach Sean Payton saw Philadelphia run the ball 50 times for a whopping 242 yards and three touchdowns. While we predicted that the Saints would have a tough time against the Eagles, we did not think it would get that bad.

The Bills are coming off a game in which they gained 91 yards on just 13 carries since they had to abandon the run after falling far behind the Colts on the scoreboard. The week prior, the Bills recorded just 70 rushing yards on 22 carries to the New York Jets. Against the Jacksonville Jaguars? Just 79 yards on 27 carries.

On the year, the Bills have averaged 118.8 rushing yards per game this year (12th-highest in NFL).

Even though they average over 100 yards per game, the Saints will hold the Bills to under 100 rushing yards on Thursday.
