Week 13 of the fantasy football season is here, and exploiting these favorable matchups could help you win a pivotal late season game in your league.

The fantasy football playoffs are just a few weeks away, so every decision you make in the coming weeks carries more weight as these games will decide your season.

Just like every week, there are very favorable fantasy matchups on tap. Let’s get into the top five of the week.

Best fantasy football matchups for Week 13

5. Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings (vs. DET)

Dalvin Cook went down with what is reportedly a dislocated shoulder. While his timetable for a return is up in the air, he’s almost certain to miss this week’s game against Detroit. This paves the way for Alexander Mattison to take on a workhorse role for Minnesota, which is great for those who have him rostered.

Detroit allows the third-most fantasy points to running backs, as they allow 133.9 yards per game. In games where Cook has missed time, Mattison’s usage is that of an elite RB1. Mattison’s sheer volume upside combined with a likely positive game script makes him an unquestioned RB1 this week with top-10 potential.
