Heavyweight rising star Jared Anderson had no problems with Oleksandr Teslenko and stopped him in round 2 at Madison Square Garden.

Jared Anderson, a.k.a ‘The Real Big Baby,’ is billed as the next great American heavyweight, and he looked like it in the co-main event from Madison Square Garden on Dec. 11.

Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Richard Commey was the Top Rank main event, but Anderson did all he could to make the biggest impact on the fight card. He came out with swagger dressed in white fur with a boss fedora and then let his hands do the talking.

The writing was on the wall before Anderson stepped into the ring. His opponent was Oleksandr Teslenko (17-2, 13 KOs), who had a respectable record on paper, but a suspect chin. His lone loss came against average Shawndell Winters via TKO.

Jared Anderson only needed two rounds to stop Oleksandr Teslenko on the undercard of Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. Richard Commey

Anderson (11-0, 11 KOs) surprised Teslenko by coming out southpaw and dominated round 1. He probably used this fight to practice that stance but returned to his conventional stance in round 2.

Anderson looked even better from his natural footing, and he caught Teslenko with a straight right to the side of the head that was partially blocked, but he put so much heat on it that it knocked Teslenko silly.

Teslenko got to his feet but rolled back to the ropes forcing the referee to stop the fight. Anderson kept his 100 percent KO rating intact and is moving up the rankings with a bullet.

Look for Anderson to continue fighting better opposition in 2022. It could be a big year that sets him up for heavyweight boxing’s top 10 by 2023, if not sooner.
